The RENAQUA DSS design, development and implementation required four key stages:

1. identification of suitable locations worldwide,
2. centralice relevant MetOcean data and provide data access to enable prototyping devices and research activities virtually,
3. analyse and design security measures for operators working at Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) platforms and aquaculture platforms on one hand, and design a solution that help their day-to-day activities to increase productivity of both sectors through the use of MetOcean data at local scale, and
4. make use of the identification of the best co-location areas worldwide to build the RENAQUA DSS for MUPs, based on the knowledge acquired at Stage 3.
